Life Beyond the Queensland Police Service

Kick-start your planning for life beyond the Service

As part of the Our People Matter strategy, QBANK is working with the Queensland Police Service (QPS) to support QPS employees through health and wellbeing initiatives, primarily financial wellbeing. The most recent of these initiatives is the Life Beyond the Service Seminar Series.

Life Beyond the Service is a free full-day seminar for QPS employees and their partners aged 50 years or older who are considering, or are at the point of, separation from the QPS.

The seminar will feature expert presentations on:

  • How to be financially fit for life post the QPS
  • How to build, manage and access your super
  • How to keep physically and psychologically fit into the latter years of life
  • Support and assistance for seeking employment post separation from the QPS.

QBANK is supporting the seminar series which is being run as part of the Our People Matter strategy. We will be there on hand to present and discuss the things you need to consider now as you head into your glory years.

Morning tea, lunch and light refreshments will be provided.

To register: Open lifebeyondtheservice.eventbrite.com.au in Google Chrome, select the seminar you wish to attend and complete the registration form.

The Our People Matter strategy is designed to improve the health, safety and wellbeing of all QPS employees and family members.

The strategy is based on four inter-dependent priority areas, providing a holistic approach to health, safety and wellbeing at the individual, workplace and organisational level.

The four priority areas include:

  1. Fair and positive workplaces
  2. Safe workplaces
  3. Healthy minds
  4. Healthy bodies.

The strategy provides the foundation for a stronger and more responsive police service. For more information on the QPS Our People Matter strategy, head to ourpeoplematter.com.au
